New media, blogs or social media posts are omnipresent, both in the job and in private life. The ability to process and edit complex contexts correctly and in a comprehensible manner is a future-oriented professional core competence. In the Nutrition Radar project, students can produce their own media contribution (e.g. explanatory video, interview) and thereby acquire additional qualifications in the field of nutrition and media.
The Nutrition Radar project is a joint project of the University of Bayreuth, the Kompetenzzentrum für Ernährung KErn (Competence Center for Nutrition) and the Akademie fuer neue Medien (Academy for New Media). The aim of the project is to present scientifically proven knowledge on nutrition in a comprehensible and appealing way in order to counteract the spread of fake information on popular communication channels. As a reliable source of information for interested parties, a knowledge portal is being created as an online platform.
