1st Interdisciplinary Symposium on Food, Nutrition and Health, Kulmbach, 2026
The first interdisciplinary symposium at the Faculty of Life Sciences has come to a close, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and enriched our symposium last Monday and Tuesday.
Over 100 people participated either online or in person. A total of 12 out of 14 professors presented their fields of research and provided the interested audience with fascinating insights into their work. Another special highlight was the presentation of Prof. Dr. Aldo Faisal’s visualization lab.
Guests were welcomed by the Vice President for Research and Early-Career Scholars, Prof. Dr. Markus Retsch; the Dean, Prof. Dr. Corina Vlot-Schuster; and the Founding Dean, Prof. Dr. Stephan Clemens. Guests also included District Administrator Jonas Gleich, Mayor Dr. Ralf Hartnack, President of the Upper Franconia District Council Henry Schramm, Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) Managing Director Wolfram Brehm, and MRI President Prof. Dr. Tanja Schwerdtle.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our sponsors, RAPS and Sparkasse Kulmbach-Kronach, as well as to all the speakers and participants for the successful exchange. Continuing education credits for BLÄK, DGE, VDD, VDOE, and VFED were also available for this event.
We’re glad you were there!
